Burglar Alarm Service Cost
The main services we provide for customers looking to migrate from their existing maintenance provider are:
Domestic Takeover Service
£160.00 inc VAT*
This cost includes a full service and check of your current home security system, rebranding of the existing bell box and decoy, 12 months access to our out-of-hours engineers and reduced callout rates. The ideal choice for homeowners who already have an alarm system and are wanting a professional and reliable service while saving you money. The next service (recommended a year later) would then be offered out at a reduced maintained rate.
Domestic Takeover Service + new bell box unit
£220.00 inc VAT*
This service offers all the features of the standard takeover, but includes the installation of a brand-new Deltabell** external siren and decoy complete with Lynx Security branding for improved visibility and deterrence. This option is ideal if your current burglar alarm is outdated or damaged.
*Batteries and device replacements not included. Systems with more than 8 detection devices priced separately. Accounts for up to 60 minutes on site.

Maintenance and Monitoring
In addition to installing and servicing, Lynx offers professional alarm monitoring services. Your custom intruder alarm can be connected to our NSI-approved ARC which provides 24/7 monitoring - sending signals at high speed, the ARC can notify yourself, other named keyholders or emergency services that an incident has occurred. Monitoring packages are customised based on your system and are quoted separately.

This depends entirely on your security system provider. At Lynx, we do not operate on a monthly subscription or payment schedule, instead we install home security systems on an outright sale basis. This allows you to know the service you’re receiving and the full fee for installation and equipment up front.
2. What is the most reliable burglar security alarm system?

4. When is my maintenance renewal due?
When a system is due maintenance (and the frequency thereof) is dependent on the type of system. Annual services will occur on the anniversary of the installation (or system takeover). Some systems will have more than one service a year (fire alarms and monitored intruder alarms). Our governing body, National Security Inspectorate (NSI), allows a plus or minus 1 month window for the annual maintenance to be completed. Therefore, for NSI purposes, a visit carried out during anniversary month, during the calendar month immediately prior to the anniversary month or during the calendar month immediately after the anniversary month is also regarded as having been completed on time.
For those that have 2 visits a year. The interim service would be due 6 months following the anniversary and the same rule applies.
